First, we need to understand the requirements for powder transportation. Since powders are very small particles, in most cases we need to ensure that the delivery environment is sealed to avoid dust. Secondly, the transmission mode must be continuous, cannot be thrown, and the carrier interval cannot be too large. According to the characteristics of the above powder transportation, there are two main types of powder feeding equipment in the industry:

1. Screw feeder

Screw feeder is a commonly used feeding equipment in industry. It mainly includes screw and hopper. The screw passes through the stainless steel cylindrical shell, and the material moves along the shell through the spiral rotation of the screw to achieve the purpose of conveying. The hopper of the screw feeder usually has two specifications of 300ml and 700ml. The whole unit is sealed and made of 304 stainless steel. The other end of the device is connected to a screw metering machine. The screw feeder has the characteristics of simple structure, stable operation, high conveying efficiency and convenient maintenance.

2. Vacuum feed water pump

Vacuum feeders, also known as vacuum conveyors, are used less frequently than screw feeders. It is a dust-free and closed pipeline conveying equipment, conveying powdery materials with the help of vacuum suction. The principle is to use the pressure difference to form a high-speed air flow in the pipeline to drive the movement of powdery materials and complete the transportation. The vacuum feed pump includes a vacuum pump, filter, vacuum barrel and delivery hose. Most materials are made of 304 stainless steel. The vacuum feed pump has the characteristics of maintenance free, dust proof and low energy consumption.
